Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn is trading the famous cobbles for the kitchen as she joins the upcoming series of Celebrity MasterChef. The actress, best known for her role as Sinead Tinker in the long-running ITV soap, is set to showcase her culinary skills on the hit BBC One show.
Katie, 31, developed a passion for cooking after leaving Coronation Street, and now she’ll put her skills to the test against a star-studded lineup. Joining her on the show are Blue singer Antony Costa, Love Island star Uma Jammeh, and RuPaul’s Drag Race sensation Ginger Johnson. With such a diverse group of celebrities, this year’s competition promises plenty of exciting moments.
A TV insider revealed: “The celebrity version of MasterChef has already been filmed, and there’s a great mix of people this year, including Katie. She brings a bit of glamour as well as that northern sense of humour. Viewers are going to be really impressed with the standard this year.”
