CELEBRITY TRAITORS: ONE WEEK AWAY… WHO’S GOING IN?

The countdown is officially on. In just one week’s time, the very first series of Celebrity Traitors will hit our screens, and if the line-up is anything to go by, fans are in for a wild ride.

The hit BBC show, which first premiered in 2022, has become a cultural phenomenon thanks to its blend of psychological gameplay, betrayal, and Claudia Winkleman’s sharp hosting. Now, for the first time, it’s the turn of celebrities to don the cloaks, gather around the firepit, and decide who among them is a Faithful, and who’s hiding the dark secret of being a Traitor.

Celebrity Traitors launches Tuesday, October 8, 2025, with a glittering cast of 19 famous faces all competing for a huge cash prize of up to £100,000 for charity.

And Claudia has already made it crystal clear: there will be no special treatment just because they’re famous.

Who’s in the castle?

This year’s line-up spans comedy, sport, broadcasting, and music, making it one of the most diverse reality casts we’ve seen in years. Here are the celebrities heading into the game:

  • Stephen Fry – National treasure, actor, and broadcaster.
  • Alan Carr – Beloved comedian and presenter.
  • Kate Garraway – Good Morning Britain star.
  • Celia Imrie – Legendary actress of stage and screen.
  • Nick Mohammed – Comedian and Ted Lasso favourite.
  • Tameka Empson – EastEnders star and comedian.
  • Mark Bonnar – Acclaimed Scottish actor.
  • Ruth Codd – Rising Netflix star (The Midnight Club).
  • Paloma Faith – Chart-topping singer-songwriter.
  • Charlotte Church – Singer and TV personality.
  • Cat Burns – Award-winning pop artist.
  • Joe Wilkinson – Comedian and panel show regular.
  • Lucy Beaumont – Stand-up comic and writer.
  • Clare Balding – Sports broadcaster and author.
  • Tom Daley – Olympic gold medal-winning diver.
  • Joe Marler – England rugby star.
  • Niko Omilana – YouTube creator and activist.
  • David Olusoga – Historian and broadcaster.
  • Jonathan Ross – TV legend and chat show host.

With personalities this big under one roof, tensions are sure to flare. Will Stephen Fry’s intellect help him sniff out the Traitors? Could Alan Carr’s wit disguise his intentions? And will Tom Daley’s Olympic focus translate into the ultimate game of strategy?

A game of trust and betrayal

The format will remain the same as the original show: a handful of contestants are secretly chosen as Traitors, while the rest are Faithful. Each day, the group must work together on bizarre, challenging, and often hilarious missions to build the prize pot. But come nightfall, suspicions rise as players are “murdered” or banished from the game.

It’s part strategy, part psychological warfare, and now, with famous faces in the mix, viewers can expect even more drama. Claudia Winkleman has confirmed that despite the celebrities’ profiles, they’ll be treated exactly like any other contestant. That means paranoia, tears, laughter, and plenty of dramatic exits.

Fans are already predicting explosive moments from larger-than-life stars like Paloma Faith and Jonathan Ross, as well as quieter players who could sneak under the radar, until it’s too late.

When and where to watch

Celebrity Traitors begins on BBC One and iPlayer on Tuesday, October 8, 2025. Episodes will air weekly, with the big reveal of the Traitors expected in the launch episode.

With such an impressive line-up and the promise of no holds barred gameplay, this could be the most entertaining celebrity reality show of the year.

So grab your cloak, sharpen your instincts, and get ready, because the castle is opening its doors to the stars.
