In a stunning show of respect, and perhaps diva diplomacy, Beyoncé reportedly gave up her £25,000-a-night luxury penthouse suite in London to make way for none other than Mariah Carey.
The RENAISSANCE superstar had been staying at the opulent Corinthia Hotel during her string of shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But over the weekend, Queen Bey packed her bags to let the self-proclaimed diva herself take over the lavish digs ahead of her headlining performance at the Summertime Ball.
A source told The Sun: “Superstars as big as Beyoncé and Mariah want to stay in only the best hotels. Beyoncé had been staying in Corinthia’s penthouses. But when Mariah flew in, Beyoncé packed up so Mariah could take over her suites. It was like Beyoncé was bowing down to another music queen.”
Fans are calling it a “passing of the tiara” moment between two of music’s most iconic women, both known for their incredible voices, undeniable influence, and next-level luxury tastes.
But Mariah didn’t just take over Beyoncé’s suite, she transformed her backstage area at Wembley Stadium into her own personal kingdom. According to insiders, Mariah had the dressing room renamed "Mimi’s World" and customised everything to suit her signature glamorous vibe.
Mariah hit the stage alongside Rita Ora, Will Smith, and more for her first UK performance in six years, making it a landmark return that she wasn’t going to do without full diva standards.
Whether it’s a sweet show of respect or just elite superstar logistics, the Beyoncé-Mariah handover is a reminder that when divas collide, only one suite can survive.
