Cardi B has revealed that she secretly underwent a butt reduction procedure, following years of speculation and online commentary about her body.
The 32-year-old rapper made the candid confession during her viral appearance on Wednesday’s Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper. The episode quickly spread across social media, with clips racking up millions of views as Cardi addressed both her surgery and the constant scrutiny she faces over her appearance.
“I already did it”
The WAP star explained that she had already taken action after fans and critics alike suggested she reduce the results of her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
“I already did a reduction,” Cardi told Cooper. “People will be like, ‘Well, you need to reduce your butt more.’ And it’s like, I think you guys think that people just plug something inside my a**hole and just suck it out.”
She went on to admit that the recovery period was extremely tough. “I was stuck on bed rest for three months,” she revealed. “It was not easy. It was a hard, hard recovery.”
Still not entirely satisfied
Despite going through the painful procedure, Cardi admitted she still sometimes wishes her backside was even smaller, though she’s adamant she wouldn’t go through the surgery again.
“I look at myself in the mirror, and it’s like, I really wouldn’t change a thing. Maybe I would like my butt to be smaller, but it’s really hard for my butt to be smaller and I already did.”
Her honesty struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised her for being open about the realities of cosmetic surgery, especially given the popularity, and risks, of BBLs.
