TV presenter Alison Hammond is set to front a brand new feel-good show on Channel 4 called Your Song, a six-part series that celebrates the power of music by giving everyday people the chance to take centre stage.
In Your Song, Alison will travel across Britain meeting ordinary members of the public who have an extraordinary connection to a particular track. Whether it’s a song that helped them through heartbreak, lifted them in tough times, or simply became a personal anthem, the show will give them the opportunity to share their story, and perform the song that means so much to them.
The series comes from Love Productions, the creative team behind The Great British Bake Off and The Piano, and fans can expect a similar mix of heartfelt moments and uplifting performances. With her signature warmth and infectious energy, Alison is the perfect host to guide viewers through the emotional highs and lows of the performances, and to uncover the deeply personal stories behind each song.
A TV insider revealed: “Alison was the natural choice to present this, with her warm personality and ability to catch unguarded moments with the singers, together with chatting to the crowds. Your Song will feature people who love singing, they may have been singing for a long time but not necessarily in public or on a stage. You can expect some unexpected performances.”
Alison, who co-hosts The Great British Bake Off and This Morning, is no stranger to connecting with people on a personal level, and this latest project promises to show her at her very best.
Speaking about the show, she said: “I love the power that music, and singing your heart out has. It can change your mood, put a smile on your face, make you sad, make you reminisce. So, I’m really excited about this new show, about real people telling us their stories through song. Let’s hit the road.”
Your Song is set to bring viewers a mix of laughter, tears, and unforgettable moments, as hidden talents are revealed and personal stories take centre stage in front of live audiences.
The show will air later this year on Channel 4, and with Alison at the helm, it’s already shaping up to be one of the most heartwarming series of the season.
