ADELE'S HANDWRITTEN LETTER TO NETFLIX SHOW CREATOR WILL MELT YOUR HEART

Adele has revealed a deeply personal connection to the hit Netflix series Adolescence, going so far as to write a heartfelt, handwritten letter to the show’s creators thanking them for what it did for her relationship with her son.

The British superstar, known for her powerhouse vocals and emotional ballads, was so moved by the gritty drama that she made a point of watching the entire four-part series with her 13-year-old son, Angelo. The experience, she says, changed the way the two connect.

Director Philip Barantini, who helmed the smash-hit crime drama, shared the touching story during a Royal Television Society masterclass. “I got letters from Adele last week,” he said. “Handwritten letters from Adele. Just saying that she had watched it with her son and it has changed their relationship.”

The four-part drama has become a cultural phenomenon, now ranked as Netflix’s second most-watched English-language show ever, only behind Wednesday, the Addams Family spin-off.

Barantini added: “I'm getting inundated with messages from all over the world, people who relate to the story or have been deeply affected by it. That, for me, has blown my mind a little bit.”

And it’s not just Adele who’s a fan. The director also received a personal message from none other than Steven Spielberg, who reportedly watched the series twice.

Adele has long been candid about the challenges of motherhood, especially as someone navigating fame, divorce, and co-parenting. This revelation offers a rare glimpse into how art can not only reflect real life but help mend it.

While the singer has been relatively quiet on the music front lately, she’s been making headlines for her Las Vegas residency and her outspoken support of artists and creatives behind the scenes.

Fans praised Adele’s thoughtful gesture online. “Only Adele would send a handwritten letter, she’s pure class,” wrote one fan on social media. Another added, “Shows like this change lives. Adele gets it.”

There’s no official word yet on whether Adolescence will return for a second season, but with accolades pouring in from the likes of Adele and Spielberg, it seems likely.
