Shaun Tilley

Shaun Tilley started his career at Swansea Sound in the mid 80’s, when the station began 24 hour broadcasting.
Following a move to London, he went on to work at Capital Radio, Radio Caroline and BBC World Service before he became the youngest national DJ since Kid Jensen to land a job at Radio Luxembourg. He also co-hosted Luxy’s last ever show on its legendary 208 frequency in 1991.
During the remainder of the 90’s and 00’s Shaun became one of only a few presenters to broadcast on stations in each of the UK’s Top 10 biggest cities including Glasgow’s Radio Clyde, Radio City in Liverpool and Manchester’s Piccadilly Radio. In more recent years, he returned to national radio for five years on Capital Radio’s Gold Network in London.
In 2012, his contribution to broadcasting was recognised in two BBC Radio 2 documentaries when Shaun was interviewed by Noel Edmonds and Paul Gambaccini.
You might also catch him on BBC Four Television now and again as his face regularly appears on the Top of the Pops ‘Story Of’ series and he also presents the programme Top of the Pops Playback.
