About the chairty - Helping Hands Tenerife: |
Helping Hands in Tenerife is a fully-registered charity based in the South of Tenerife, set up in 2009 by Liz Montague (President), Dorothy Gardner and Julie Lincoln. The charity through it's own social and other various fund-raising events has raised over €52,000 since inception and there are firm plans in place for more events in order to raise additional funds; principally helping the less fortunate children here on the Island. As we have chosen Tenerife as our home, we collectively feel that it is important that we help the needy on this island rather than elsewhere. The charity has a regular following of approximately 200+ ex-patriots and this number is certainly growing due to the success of previous events, meaning more helpers are needed, such as Marion Yates who joined recently.
