 Car Boot Sales K9: These are held on the first Sunday of each month at Happy Days Bowls & Tennis Club, Garanana, Costa del Silencio, from 8am until noon. Stalls cost six euros each. Next sales: 5th Sept, 3rd Oct. We also hold a Good As New Sale on the second Saturday of each month outside Shimmers Bar in Callao Salvaje, from 9am until noon. Next sales: 11th Sept, 9th Oct. Playa San Juan Market: Every Wednesday from 8am until 1pm. Alcala Market: Every Monday from 8am until 1pm. Coral Mar Square, Silencio: Every Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Friends of the Animals: Last Sunday of each month at the Tipsy Terrace (Sports Centre), Los Gigantes from 8am until noon. Next sales: 26th Sept, 31st Oct. K9 Book Stall (Torviscas Market): Every Thursday from 8am until 2pm. K9 and Friends of the Animals need a constant supply of clothing, bedding, shoes, books, bric-a-Brac, pictures and small household items to enable us to provide the public with the goods they want to buy. Donations may be left at the K9 Kennels, near Las Chafiras, or ring Pat the Cat on 608 121 081, Kenny on 686 141 003, Neal on 619 678 384, or Barbara & David on 922 852 182 to arrange collections. We urgently require more bric-a-brac please, while dry dog and cat food is always welcome. The Friends Of The Animals Shop (FOTA) in Playa De La Reina (next to the Medical Centre) is now open weekdays from 10am until 6pm, and Saturday’s from 10am until 2pm. It is closed on Sundays. K9 & FOTA Christmas Cards are now on sale at all venues. They cost 50 cents each, or five for two euros. They are unique and not to be missed. The 2011 Puppy Calendar will be on sale from the end of October at eight euros, and it’s got the lot: puppies skateboarding, driving, computing, playing music, surfing etc. Any full collection boxes, please contact Pat on 608 121 081, or The Kennels on 667 638 468. Where to find us Our kennels are at Las Chafiras, on the San Miguel side of the motorway. Follow the San Miguel road for 400m and you will see the First Impressions building on your right-hand side. After a further 300m, you will see a road off to the right. Continue on this road for about a mile. The kennels are on the right on a bend and there is car parking opposite the entrance. Opening times The Kennels and Cattery are open EVERY day from 10.30am-1.30pm. Cleaning, feeding, walking and exercising start from 8.45am.
