Record season-ticket sales for CD Tenerife - 27.08.2010 |

 CD TENERIFE smashed through the 10,000 season-ticket barrier this week for the first time as a Second Division side.
After relegation from La Liga last season, the club were hoping to sell around 8,000 tickets - but the response has been breathtaking.
Delighted club president Miguel Concepcion said: “This goes to show how great our fans are. It’s a great number and we hope to get some more.”
As you can read in our full preview on page 47, Tenerife’s first match is not until next Sunday (5th September), when they host Salamanca, so the sale of a few thousand more is not inconceivable.
Tenerife’s early sales make them the third best-supported club in the division, behind sleeping giants Real Betis and Recreativo Huelva.
Tenerife are expected to mount a serious challenge for promotion after making some big-name signings this summer. |
