Nikki puts strays in the picture

NIKKI ATTREE, digital artist and photographer, runs a website for unfortunate pooches here in the south of the Island.

And she is keen to include even more missing dogs, and those who have been found roaming the streets

If you can send Nikki some details (ideally with a photo) via nikki@tenerifedogs.com she will upload them on the ‘Lost and Found’ page of her website: www.TenerifeDogs.com

You never know, perhaps your beloved dog will be reunited with you, or that nervous stray, who has been hanging around, is recognised by someone.

This website aims to encourage more people to adopt abandoned dogs and help them find their perfect pooch.

It has a ‘Find-a-Dog’ list with a selection who are looking for a home, along with some success stories (Happy Tails), and pages of useful information in the form of FAQs, articles, and links.

So please visit and bookmark TenerifeDogs.com ... but be warned: once you take a look at the cute doggies on the website, you may well find one that leaps off the screen and tugs at your heart-strings.

Nikki, whose digitally-enhanced photographs are becoming extremely popular, says: “Before you know it, you might have a new friend sharing your home.”

Revised adoption procedures

South Tenerife Rescue Centre

We have sold 509 square metres of land up to now, making a total of 2,545 euros.

The plan to buy our own plot of land remains, possibly even where we are now renting, so are you prepared to buy a square metre of land for Live Arico?

At just five euros, you will receive a certificate from Live Arico for now, and your name and number of square metres purchased will be on a Roll of Honour at the new refuge.

Live Arico Shop news (in association with Tenerife Nursing and Care)

As you probably know by now, the shop is now on the frontline of Coral Mar, at ground level, next door to the Coral Bar.

This makes life far easier for everyone: cars unloading can park right outside, and our elderly and disabled customers no longer have to negotiate the stairs.

We now have a fantastic range of hand-made cards for all occasions. They are decorated beautifully and cost from two euros.

We are also grateful for items of furniture as we are working in conjunction with Fish for Furniture, at Los Abrigos and Idea, in Adeje. Call Rick to arrange pick-ups.

We are also grateful to receive any donations of cat and dog food at the shop.

Through popular demand, the shop is now open at the following times: Mon-Fri: 10-4pm. Sat: 10-2. Sunday: Closed. The shop will also be open when there’s an event on in Coral Mar Square,
