Zurich move home to El Camison THE Zurich company, which covers all forms of insurance, has moved from its Los Cristianos office and can now be found at El Camison, in Playa de Las Americas. The company, run by regular Canarian Weekly contributor Susana Dias, is situated opposite Restaurant Meson Castellano, near the El Camison Mercadona. Zurich’s new address is Avda Antonio Dominguez No16, at the Udalla Park, and staff can be contacted at www.MySpainIsurance.com or call 922 752 842. Rachel’s swim draws closerRACHEL SANDFORD, of Rachel’s Motors in Las Chafiras, has changed her sponsored swim route on the advice of the Red Cross. Rachel is now swimming from Playa las Vistas to Fañabe – and back ‒ next Sunday (13th June). She had planned her Live Arico fund-raiser to be from El Medano to Los Abrigos and back, but the Red Cross advised against it. Even so, Rachel will be covering a distance of some 12 kilometres, and we are looking for volunteers to do a sponsored walk at the same time along the same route – but on land, of course! Please call Suzy Q on the number below if you can register and organise sponsorship forms. To sponsor Rachel, please call into her workshop in Las Chafiras (behind El Kilo) and fill in the forms already there. Good luck to Rachel from all of us at Live Arico. Canarian Cup of cheer THE next Los Golfos tournament, The Canarian Cup in honour of Canarian Day takes place this Sunday (6th June) at Adeje Golf Course. The popular, monthly event is being sponsored by Niza Cars, Spring Hotel group ‘50 special’ bar/creperie and The Buda Bar. |
