The Centro Insular de Deportes Marinos (CIDEMAT) under the Council of Tenerife and managed by the public company Ideco, last year recorded an increase of 14.9 percent in users of its facilities which amounted to 5498 people.

There were a large number of groups that used the facilities, this area registered a higher growth, 3530 schoolchildren who spent a day testing three nautical specialties.
The sailing school helped 142 students to prepare for CIDEMAT examinations - Basic Sailing Master, Boat Master Recreation and Yachtmaster Offshore. 
As you would expect during the spring and summer there was the largest demand for places. 
The first Aqua Fitness hosted by CIDEMAT saw 185 users.  Swimming also has been provided for adults, juveniles and infants it has attracted 387 people. The facilities are used by people of all ages who are able to relate to the marine environment through the practice of nautical sports.
