Lions at Ruals Bar A SECOND meeting to discuss the intended new Lions Club in the Playa San Juan area will be held at Ruals Bar on Tuesday, 15th December, and not Juan’s Bar, as stated last week.

Fayre day out with Lions TENERIFE SUR Lions Club are holding their Christmas Fayre and Car Boot Sale this Sunday (6th Dec), with all the usual stalls. It takes place at Las Ramblas, next to the beach in Las Galletas, from 11am-4pm. Phone Ken on 670 647 765 if you would like a stall. Father Christmas will be there for kiddies’ photos, plus tombola, raffle, clothes, bric-a-brac, bar and barbecue, home produce and much more.
Now it’s the Swim for Life!
AS the Walk for Life gets underway next Sunday (13th Dec), so a party of passionate ocean swimmers (male and female), from the South and North of the Island, will swim the 3.4km course.
The group, expected to be up to 20-strong, will all wear pink caps and brave the cold water and waves to swim from the Mediterranean Palace to Pueblo Canario, in support of breast cancer research.
One of the bravehearts, Ryszard Majewski, said: “We welcome any canoeists who can accompany us through the route, just to keep the group together. Devil of a mystery at Wingate School WINGATE SCHOOL’S Junior Department have been busy working on their annual Christmas show – a mystery comedy of intrigue, theft and dilemma called “Who the Devil Did It”?
The Junior Department are again extending a warm welcome to the general public to enjoy the fun on Wednesday, 9th December. The story, set in the Fifties at the time of Elvis, Bill Haley, Cliff Richard and Marilyn Monroe, is all about disguise and deceit.
This fun-packed show is just three euros on the door, and gates open at 1.30 pm in time for a 2pm start. There is ample free parking just outside the school.
