A happy anniversary – with chocolate! - 23.10.2009 |

 CHOCOLATE cake and champagne was the order of the day when Charles and Diss celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this week.
It was a poignant reminder that they were married during the war, when Charles was on leave from the RAF, and their wedding cake was made of chocolate because of food rationing.
Charles, who is in poor health, now lives at Buzanada’s Tenerife Nursing Home, known as Hillview, and his family came along to celebrate with him.
A few years ago, Charles and Diss came to join their daughter in Tenerife and, co incidentally, they share the same wedding anniversary date.
All the staff at Hillview wish them all the love and best wishes. |
