Allegri Singers light up
THE Allegri Singers, based in the North, are presenting a concert of light music in aid of Cancer Research next Wednesday, (21st Oct) at 7.30pm in the Salon de Actos of the Centro Cultural in El Sauzal, on the north-west coast.

It will be followed by cheese and wine at St. Andrew’s School in Sauzal. Tickets cost 10 euros and will be available on the door. Advance reservations can be made by phoning 922 575 031.

‘Heroes’ night carries 300-euro prize
 
TWO Charity Nights in aid of Help for Heroes are being held at Bar La Caña, in Los Abrigos Harbour.
Next Wednesday (21st Oct), a mixed-doubles, knockout, charity darts night and raffle takes place with a fabulous first prize of 300 euros. Runners-up will get 150 euros and  third prize is 50 euros. 
A five-euro entry fee per couple will go to the charity, together with raffle takings and donations. All entries must be in by Monday (19th Oct). The draw will be made at 7pm and the competition will be played on two boards.
Then, next Sunday (25th Oct) at the same venue, there will be a fund-raising night with a BBQ, mini-facials, Ori-flame, karaoke, raffle and tombola.
