Dead-eye Graham pots singles crown - 26.06.2009
BAR NAUTA hosted the Oasis Fm Tenerife 8Ball League Singles Finals night last Tuesday.

There were 14 players competing after battling through to the event, and we saw some thrilling matches.
In the first round, Graeme from the Palms Bar, was a little lucky to get past Claire in a cracking encounter.
Claire played some clever shots to take the opening frame, and she was on for a seven-ball win in the next.
But she rattled a tough black and Graeme kept his head to force a re-rack, which he subsequently won.
Both players had their chances in the decider, but it was Graeme who finally sneaked through to the last eight.
All the matches were tight, especially Geoff’s victory over Ray, which saw both players miss easy blacks before the Los Abrigan stole the match.
If the first round was close, then the last eight was watertight, with four thrilling clashes.
Toscales’ Alex ground out a win over Graeme, while Geoff again rode his luck in beating Paul. Steve from the Cygnets put out last year’s semi-finalist, Roscoe, on a deciding black ball.
But the match of the night saw Graham and Lee locking horns. Lee had home table advantage and he frustrated Graham early in the first frame with some solid defensive work.
However, Graham’s dead-eye potting enabled him to take the frame, and he made a fast start in the second. Lee was tied up around the bottom corner as Graham skilfully potted his reds around the table.
A crucial mistake from Lee gave Graham the chance he was after – and the result was history.
The Palms man continued his form into the semis, where he swept Geoff away, while Alex came from behind to beat Steve, who had left his form on the other table.
The final was a one-sided affair as Graham comfortably took the opening two frames. Alex threatened to rally in the third, but Graham again took his chance when presented with a free table to take the honours.
It was a deserved victory, but the other finalists lost nothing in defeat.
