Mr Booze leave Yelas with a touch of blues - 05.06.2009
AFTER a sticky start to the season, Mr Booze are starting to climb the table in Division One of the Oasis Fm Darts League.

Harry’s mob made it back-to-back victories as they powered into the top six after victory over Yelas Bar, who are again struggling near the foot of the table.

Tenerife Sons and Exiles Bar also recorded 7-1 away victories over X-Men and Amigos Bar respectively. These Silencians are travelling better than Judith Chalmers at the moment.

Bar 180 extended their lead at the top to three points after whitewashing Toscales Allsorts. Bar El Sol recorded another solid win, this time 6-2 against Nauta A, while Whippys A did likewise at Tenerife Sun.

There were also two drawn matches, which helped to bunch up the sides below seventh place.

Target Headbangers continue to bop away from the pack in Division Two. Last Friday, they smashed Whippys 7-1 to move three points clear of Sundowners, who did the same to Pig In The Dip.

In fact 7-1 was a popular scoreline. The Warriors and Veronicas both suffered that fate at the hands of Strikers and Trap Door.

Result of the night went to the Tavern. They have struggled a little since relegation, but showed their promise with a whitewash at Paddy O’Taffys, who started the match in second place.

Naughty Nautas beat Phoenix Flames, while Amigos Bad Girls secured an excellent 5-3 win at The Barracuda, and girl power was also in evidence at Our Place as the Playgirls drew 4-4 with Toscales.

Tonight sees the start of the Trebles tournament. Phoenix Bar and Target Bar host the men’s events, while Our Place welcomes the ladies.
