Slick Swan break Hammers hearts! - 05.06.2009
THE Swan booked their place in the Oasis FM Tenerife 8 Ball Pool League Cup final after a thrilling comeback against Tenerife Hammers A.

The visiting Hammers had raced into an early lead and were odds-on favourites when they won the final doubles match to take a 5-1 lead.
They needed just one more frame to win, but the Swan showed their class to launch a ferocious fightback.
Bungalow was a little fortunate to win his singles rubber, and when Grandad Chris held his nerve, the hosts had got the match back to 5-4.
Hammers Barry faced Craig in the last match and it encapsulated the whole match perfectly.
Barry, who earlier in the day welcomed son Shaun into the world, made the early running as Craig found himself tied up.
And Barry looked to have the tie won as his final colour left him a black into the middle pocket to win.
But he lipped his shot and Craig kept his cool to clear up the final three colours and the black.
Both captains then nominated the same players for the winner-takes-all decider.
Barry made steady progress from the break and again looked to be the favourite. But just like in their previous frame, he left the door open at the death and Craig completed a near carbon-copy finish to take the spoils.
It was a thrilling finish to a wonderful match, but a hard pill for the Hammers to swallow after being so close to victory.
Yet credit must go to the Swan for the mother of all comebacks. In the final, they will face the Palms Bar, who completed a straightforward 9-1 victory over the Atlantis Bar.
The Adeje mob were strangely out of sorts, and even though the match was closer than the scoreline suggests, they never threatened.
The Palms win means there is the perfect season finale as the winners of the Red League will play the Yellow League winners.

This Tuesday sees the start of the Singles tournament, which features 128 players spread over 16 venues.
