Caravans, motor homes and other similar vehicles in the municipality of Arona have to adhere to guidelines with the aim of avoiding misunderstandings and confusion between neighbours and visitors.
According to Article 4 of the said Municipal Ordinance, "regulation through provision with general nature of the uses of urban roads, making compatible the fair distribution of the parking spaces between all users, with the necessary traffic flow".
In addition, Article 17 expresses the town council "may, in the use of their powers, prohibit the parking, especially in tourist areas, of caravans, motor homes and vehicles of similar characteristics, and should boost the regulation of this type of car parks with the instruction to properly marked areas".
This prohibits the parking caravans, motor homes and vehicles of similar characteristics, on Avenue Juan Carlos I, Los Cristianos, in the street Arenas Blancas (ex Metropolis) in Playa de Las Americas and some areas in Las Galletas.
Areas will be clearly marked to avoid a conflict of interests and constant complaints in relation to these types of vehicles.
