The Cabildo has awarded the budget for the first phase of improving the commercial area in Guía de Isora. The project, which has a budget of 301,000 euros, will develop initially the entrance. The Cabildo of Tenerife has awarded the first phase of the work of improvement in the streets, to Martín González. The island councillor of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, Efraín Medina, stresses that "this initiative has an investment of 301,425 euros for this first phase and will be implemented in an area that exceeds the 1,800 square meters". The work, which will begin in about two weeks, will focus exclusively on the entrance and contemplate the improvement of the urban highway, which will be two lanes separated by a central barrier. There will also be infrastructure improvements to the management of rainwater, energy, lighting and communications. The project also includes the replacement of existing suspended lighting. A pedestrian Mall will also be designed with access only for emergency vehicles. "It’s important to improve where we live, walk and shop… ", clarifies Efraín Medina. Another of the purposes of this initiative is to improve accessibility to the public solving the problems of mobility for people with disabilities. In addition, covered in the plan solutions for access to the commercial center and to solve the problems caused by the traffic and parking areas.
