Staff and students at Britannia School got themselves in the pink on Friday 19th October, when they held a special day in school to support Breast Cancer Awareness month, and raised over 150 euros towards the cause.
The project was also part of the Year 11 IGCSE Citizenship Project Portfolio, with different groups of GCSE students undertaking various fund raising activities throughout the year, to build up evidence of community activities, which is a very important part of the Britannia School policy, to build strong and active links with local people. The school has a 100% success track record in its Citizenship programme and exam pass rate. Watch out for more community fund raising activities coming your way this autumn - not only will you be helping these wonderful kids pass their IGCSEs, but also helping to raise money for charities locally, and overseas. Thanks also to those parents who made large donations to the Breast Cancer Appeal. |
