The kids down at Britannia School are getting ready for a bumper end of year celebration, and working hard to organise their annual end of year celebration, a fun-filled day packed with surprises, with their Summer Fayre. Together with staff at the school, they are hoping to raise funds to help the local Tenerife Lions Charity, and this year, they aim to raise enough to pay for the coach that brings the orphans down from the North for their annual Christmas party.
The school is appealing to the local community for donations towards the stalls and games they are hoping to have. If you have any unwanted gifts or bric-a-brac, send it in for the Tombola or the White Elephant. If you are a bar or restaurant owner, donate a prize by calling 922797563. Even if you are having a clear out, old books, toys, games and other items can help the School to raise the sum necessary.
More importantly, why not mark the date in your diary now? You are more than welcome to come to school on 28th June, between 12 and 4.00pm, and enjoy a Devonshire tea, treat yourself to a lovely plant from Aunty Lindsay´s garden stall, and pamper yourself in the First Images Beauty Salon, and who knows, you might even win a raffle prize!!
For more information about the day, or if you would like to get involved, call the school now on 922797563. And don’t forget to pick up your next copy of the Canarian Weekly, to get updates!
