RESULTS Division 1 PADDY A TAFFYS - 6 V DOWNERS – 1 EXILES - 7 V PIGS OF THE DIP – 0 Division 2 SWIGS - P V X-MEN – P TARGET BAR – 4 V BEER ENGINE - 3 This week it was league cup semi finals time. A chance for the elite teams to shine in their respective divisions in a cup competition. Unlike the team handicap this competition is played from scratch, with no head starts being given to any teams. Paddy A Taffys had a home draw against Downers who currently lie second from bottom in the first division. Although a valiant effort was made by Downers, Paddy A Taffys once again proved to be to strong, as they finished with a 6-1 victory. No real surprise there then! Exiles also had a home draw against local rivals Pigs of the Dip, both teams are close in the first division, making first place play third place. Exiles gave the Pigs of the Dip, who seemed to be having an ‘off day’, a whitewash, with the match finishing 7-0 to Exiles. Swigs home game against visitors X-men had to unfortunately be postponed until the 1st of December due to unforeseen circumstances. The game in the second division that did take place was the amazingly close game between home team Target Bar & visitors the Beer Engine. This game saw two teams who are fighting for a promotion in Division two, thrash out a game which was only decided in the final leg of the night! Eventually the Target Bar clinched it with a 4-3 win.
