Man Utd v Derby is about 1987ish – We lost 2-0

Eric Cantona. Phenomenal player! Best I’ve ever seen in the
flesh.
What's the most memorable game
you have seen?
Apart from 1999 Champs league final its United-Spurs from 2001
when we were 3-0 down at half time at the lane and came back
to win 5-3.
What football team do you hate?
All of them!
Who do you think is the greatest
Footballer ever?
In my lifetime Diego Maradona, absolutely brilliant player!
Can England win the world cup
in 2010?
I don't think they'll win it, but I expect at
least the semi finals.
Who's your choice to partner Rooney
up front for England?
I would have a front 3 of Rooney, Defoe and Joe Cole.
Who do you prefer:
Torres or Drogba? Torres.
Barcelona
or Real Madrid?
Barcelona since I was a kid.

would you choose for England captain?
Rio Ferdinand or Steven Gerrard as they are two best natural
leaders on the park.
Would
you have Beckham in your England side?
No!!! Personally I would have given him his 100th cap and then
that would have been him finished. He´s going to struggle more
and more and the league he´s now playing in won´t keep him sharp
enough.
Who will win the 2010 World Cup? Spain.

Roscoe - Wolves
Admission time! Ross has always had two clubs! Being
a Dorset boy, he followed his local team Weymouth in the non league
circles, but was hit by the Wolves bug at a formative age. 'I'mconfident
that Wolves will be promoted this year and join the Premiership!'.
Professionally he has covered The World Cup, European Championships,
Champions League, Premiership, FA Cup finals and England Internationals.
In his playing days Ross was a tough tackling centre-back and
has the scars to prove it!
What was the first football match
you saw?
My Dad took me to watch my home team Weymouth against Spurs. I
think it was in 1981. I remember the ‘Terras' got stuffed!
Who was your boyhood hero?
Kenny Dalglish. He was a brilliant player.
What's the most memorable game you
have seen?
December 2000. West Ham 5 Bradford 4. Brilliant match, nightmare
to report in forty seconds!
What football team do you hate?
Chelsea. Where have all these fans come from? Where were they
when Chelsea were rubbish?!
Who is the greatest footballer and
why?
I never saw Pele play but Maradona was different gravy.

2010?
Capello gives us a chance, but Beckham makes us a player short.

Elkington - Aston Villa
Chris hails from Solihull in the West Midlands and has
supported Villa since he was a young boy, even though most of
his family follow Birmingham City!!!
'I grew up in an area where everyone supported the Blues, and
a few of the players lived close by. One of my mates at school
was called Jason Withe, who's dad Peter wore the number 9 shirt
for Villa, so there was no looking back!'
Chris used to play Basketball for the county, Rugby for college
and has competed in Tae-know-do tournaments across Europe - but
admits he's not great at football.

England
v Germany schoolboys at Wembley in 1981 - England won.
Who
was your boyhood hero?
Kevin Keegan - great hair! Also Trevor Francis......although he
payed for the Blues, we used to have a kick about in the streets
around Knowle.
What's the most memorable game you
have seen?
Liverpool v Portsmouth FA Cup semi final at Villa Park, Liverpool
won on penalties.
What football team do you hate?
Birmingham City - say no more.
If you could change one thing about
football what would it be?
Video referee - the game needs it.
With the money and bragging rights at stake these days its crazy
that Rugby and cricket can have it but not football.
