Every Friday Jim Ryan brings you 2 hours of the best funky house from 11pm from the most glamorous club in the world - Miss Moneypennys.
Get in the mood for the weekend with some great tunes, clubbing news, and mixes from some of the worlds biggest DJs.
For the launch of the new show, we managed to grab five minutes with all the resident DJs and had a brief chat.

Name – Jim ‘Shaft' Ryan
Hometown – Birmingham
Jim is celebrating his tenth year as Miss Moneypenny's resident this year, he has travelled the globe several times over, and been up and down the M6 more times than he'd care to remember....Oh and he's the son of Royalty!!!
Q: Miss Moneypenny's has became a clubbing institution, did you ever expect that it would take off the way it has?
A: I don't think any of us involved in Moneypenny's ever expected to be where we are today, owning our own club, putting out compilation albums, having our own singles label, producing our own music and gigging all over the world. It has been a fabulous journey, lets hope there is a few more miles left to go.
Q: Have you got any one particular place to play around the world that you look forward to playing?
A: Outside the UK it's got to be Ibiza the clubbing capital of the world. But I have been fortunate to play lots of exotic countries throughout the world and I have been able to take a lot of positives from them. No matter where you go in the world people like to party. Q: You must have played some fantastic parties is there one that sticks out in the imagination?
A: I have been round a good few years so I have experienced many great clubbing moments. Most recently had to be playing the last set at Chuff Chuff in November last year in Brighton. The crowd were so up for it and so behind me. Sonique asked me if she could sing over part of my set, she was fantastic. It was very emotional.
Q: And finally what is your all time favourite track?
A: It has to be Curtis Mayfield, Move on up. |

Q: Jeff ten years is a long time, I bet you have some great memories?
A: I've been incredibly lucky, I was actually there the first night that Miss Moneypenny's ever opened, not DJing but in the centre of the dancefloor. Working with Moneypenny's is like being part of a big family, the community spirt still lives on, and there have been so many good times.
Q: And what has been your favourite party that you've played?
A: There have been so many over the years, this past New Year I played out in Cartegena, Colombia and played a mammoth five hour set only coming off when the sun eventually came out.
Q: And a final question, what is your all time classic track.

Ken splits his time between working on booking DJs for HQ, Promoting the Moneypenny's brand, producing and DJing around the world.
Q: So Ken, how are things with you. What are you working on at the minute?
A: Yeah I'm good, really busy, lots of projects on the go. At the minute I've just taken control of bookings at HQ, going to use this to break new talent, and give artists that Moneypenny's are using a platform to showcase themselves.
Q: Miss Moneypenny's is world wide, so where is your favourite place that you have played?
A: Haha yeah you're right, we do get to see the whole world, and we are in a very fortunate position. My favourite club that I have played for is Moneypenny's Ibiza home at El Divino, its magical as the sun rises over the harbour, with all those boats.
Q: And a final question and what is your all time classic track?
A: There are different tracks that do it for me at different times, I'm into all different types of musical styles so its to hard to say. |

Q: Jay Dee how's it going, You were out in Cyprus for Miss Moneypenny's all last summer how was that?
A: I'm good thanks, iIt was awesome, every week we were rammed, it was an unbelievable experience and the people out there all just wanted to party. I'm looking forward to going out there again and putting on even bigger parties.
Q: Superb. So how have things been going since you got back?
A: Yeah, things have been crazy since I have got back to, I'm locking myself away in the study, hopefully will have something ready for the Ibiza season, to go out on Moneypenny's Records. DJ wise I don't think I have had a weekend off, looking forward to Cyprus for a rest!!!
Q: What can people expect when they come to a club and you're playing?
A: As with all the residents we stick to pure quality house, the style and tempo will change from venue to venue, but at the heart of all of our sets is the sexiness that you associate with Miss Moneypenny's. |
