Biog: Mel grew up in St. Austell in Cornwall, left school and trained as a hairdresser. She got bored with hairdressing and qualified as an aerobics and gym instructor, and at 19 decided to leave the UK to go travelling.
Firstly she went around Europe in a camper van, before spending time in America and then returning home, but found she couldn't cope with the bad weather so got a one way flight to Tenerife.
Shortly after arriving Mel started working in St.Eugens Bar as a waitress, but became a regular at the local karaoke bar and found she preferred being on stage. They offered her the compères job where she worked for 2 years, before being asked to join an Abba tribute group – in her words ‘the best laugh of my life!'.
After 2 years she decided to go travelling again and went to India, the Middle East, South East Asia, and finished off working in Australia for a year, doing some of the most stangest jobs imaginable!
Mel returned to Tenerife in 2002, and 2 months later found out she was pregnant with daughter, Keira, and now works on the cabaret circuit doing an Anastacia tribute show - for which we found a picture, nice!
