Aggravating the situation were drivers using the parallel slip road to avoid queueing then trying to sneak back into the traffic stream near the roundabout to the annoyance of other road users.

Two young Iraqi victims of the war still raging in their country were enjoying a week in the sun as guests of the Canary Islands.
Ali Abbas, who lost both arms, his parents and five brothers in the conflict, and friend Ahmed Hamza, arrived in the archipelago as a result of a UK tourism fair trip by Canarian Government President Adán Martín and Tourism Councillor José Juan Herrera.
Ali, who now lives in London with his uncle, received a visit from the pair who invited him to a stay in the Canaries.
The youngsters were first welcomed to Gran Canaria, where Ali wanted to fulfil his ambition of swimming in the ocean, before travelling to Tenerife on a programme of visits.
